Job summary

Edge Recruits is seeking a Quality Inspector to support efficient operation in a manufacturing setting in the Plymouth area. The role covers inspection of incoming materials, first-offs, and final products, plus maintaining logs and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

You'll work to high safety standards, be detail-oriented and collaborate closely with production teams in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

As a Quality Inspector in our manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of production machinery and processes.This includes inspecting raw materials, monitoring equipment Calibration, performing quality checks, and ensuring products meet required specifications.The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Times: 8am to 4pm, Mon to Thursday, 8am to 1.30pm Fri

Salary: DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Tasks

Inspection

• Inspection of incoming goods
• Inspection of production first off's
• Production Final Inspection
• Adding failed Inspection items to the reject log or quarantine
• Customer Inspection Requirements
• Scrapping of Failed Stock

Reject Log

• Management of the reject log
• Resolving the issues on the reject log
• Moving resolved issues to the closed reject log
• Scrapping of stock Rejected Stock

Health, Safety & Environment

• Work within health & safety requirements both in the general workplace and specific to your role.
• Work within environmental and sustainability principles both in the general workplace and specific to your role.
• Work within quality principles both in the general workplace and specific to your role
• Comply with SSOW's / WI's / Manual Handling training
