Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Quality Inspector for a 3-month day-shift contract in the UK. You will perform 1st off and receipt inspections, run CMM programs, and support containment through non-conformance processes.

Applicants should have extensive experience in inspecting metal high-precision components to tight tolerances within highly regulated environments and be proficient with calipers, micrometers, and related gauges. A proactive, collaborative mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 1st off Inspection / Receipt Inspection / Inspection and Calibration activities as required to support operations.

• Liaise with Engineering to ensure smooth transition of new products – NPI.
• Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to operation, including setup packs, drawings, data cards, and inspection plans.

Job Description

• To carry out 1st off Inspection / Receipt Inspection / Inspection and Calibration activities as required to support operations.
• Running CMM programmes; analysing and recording results and making quality decisions.
• To support the internal non-conformance process; raising rejects and ensuring all containment is captured.
• To liaise closely with Engineering to ensure the smooth transition of new products – New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes Machine and Tooling Set Up Packs as required, Engineering Drawings, Data Cards, Inspection Plans.
