Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Amersham is seeking a Quality Inspector on a permanent basis to ensure precision components meet drawings and customer specs. The role involves hands-on inspection, GD&T interpretation, and using CMM and various gauges on site in Amersham.

The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing/engineering background, be detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining quality records and NCRs as needed.

Qualifications

• Background in quality inspection within manufacturing/engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good GD&T understanding.
• Hands-on CMM experience.
• Proficient with inspection gauges like micrometers and verniers.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined components using precision measuring equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Operate CMM equipment and generate inspection reports.
• Identify and report non-conforming products.
• Raise NCRs where required.
• Support production with first-off and in-process inspections.
• Maintain accurate quality records and traceability.
• Conduct goods-in inspections when needed.

Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector on required by growing manufacturing company, for their site in Amersham. The successful Quality Inspector will have a hands-on role inspecting precision machined components and ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities: Quality Inspector

• Inspect machined components using precision measuring equipment
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
• Operate CMM equipment and generate inspection reports
• Identify and report non-conforming products
• Raise NCRs where required
• Support production with first-off and in-process inspections
• Maintain accurate quality records and traceability
• Conduct goods-in inspections when needed

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Quality Inspector

• A background in a Quality Inspector role gained within a manufacturing/engineering or equivalent environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Good understanding of GD&T
• Hands-on CMM experience
• Proficient with micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges and other inspection equipment
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
