An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Corporate Operations team at LTHT, working to deliver the accreditation of the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) programme in Leeds. This is a fixed-term post until 31st March 2026, offering potential secondment opportunities to develop project management, leadership, and accreditation skills while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Previous applicants need not reapply; ensure you have your manager's support before applying.
The primary focus is leading the quality and accreditation of the CDCs, working with clinical and operational colleagues to achieve this. Responsibilities include developing and implementing quality standards, gaining UKAS accreditation, analyzing hospital performance data, and working with networks and CDCs to understand and develop the accreditation process. NHSE requires CDCs to be accredited within 2 years of setup, so a key goal is to establish robust management systems to meet accreditation timelines and standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills are vital for engaging multidisciplinary teams across the system to lead on quality and programme delivery, ensuring accreditation is achieved and fit for purpose. The role involves managing complex programmes, providing assurance to senior leaders, and managing risks. It is primarily office-based but requires travel across LTHT sites and CDCs (Seacroft, Armley, Beeston). An immediate start is preferred. Experience with UKAS accreditation is advantageous.
Leeds Teaching Hospitals is committed to redeploying 'at risk' staff to new roles. Our job adverts may be closed, delayed, or removed during this process. If there are delays in shortlisting, please be patient and contact the specified person with questions.
Provide expert quality improvement and change management consultancy to the CDC, leading programme delivery and ensuring accreditation readiness. Collaborate with Directors of Operations, Planning, Finance, and other stakeholders to meet deadlines and realize service benefits. Ensure management systems support strategic and operational quality improvements aimed at UKAS accreditation. UKAS is working with NHS England to develop accreditation for CDCs, which may include services like pathology, phlebotomy, imaging, and physiological sciences.
UKAS, as the national accreditation body, will work with trusts and CDC providers to determine suitable accreditation approaches, scopes, and timelines. UKAS needs comprehensive information on CDC structures, governance, and activities to develop assessment plans and pilot integrated evaluation methods.
This role requires a DBS check due to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975.
Applications requiring Skilled Worker sponsorship are welcome. For details, visit the UK Visas and Immigration website. Applicants must present a criminal record certificate from each country of residence in the past 10 years if applicable.
