Job summary

Amentum in the UK is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the HPC Quality Management Team, reporting to the Quality Management Manager. The role ensures QMLs and PQMs deliver and apply processes to meet programme quality requirements and to improve supply chain quality.

You will prepare PQCPs, monitor QML outputs, expedite auditors, support LTQR reviews, and occasionally conduct in-factory inspections in the UK, France or worldwide; willingness to travel is required.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Quality Management and clear understanding of quality management best practice for deployment by large, complex, and contract-led organisations.
• Appetite for regular travels with supply chain whilst remaining open to the ideas of others.
• Solution provider mindset, able influence and to provide constructive challenge which is accepted by others.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the quality execution plan within the Programme and undertaken reviews and checks to ensure quality is delivered by the supply chain efficiently and in accordance with programme quality requirements.
• Prepare and update the Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs).
• Monitor QMLs deliverables identified in the KANBAN dashboard.
• Expedite Quality Auditors in the prompt resolution of audit findings within the supply chain.
• Support the progressive review and acceptance of Lifetime Quality Records (LTQR) by contractors and lead implementation of LTQR reviews delegated by QML.
• Perform in-factory manufacturing inspection when required (UK, France or worldwide) delegated by QML.
