Production Engineering Manager

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure all aspects of quality are maintained within your area of responsibility, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D/PPS.
  • Ensure product, systems, and processes perform reliably and implement improvements where possible.
  • Collaborate across functions to complete project-based work on key issues.
  • Support production, engineering, and R&D to meet customer demands daily.
  • Apply problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC and PPS to improve products and processes, and proactively resolve customer complaints and non-conformances.
  • Maintain the quality management system, conduct periodic process audits, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Work with production, design, sales, engineering, and R&D on new product introductions to ensure on-time, flawless launches.
  • Contribute technical expertise to new product design and manufacturing process integration.
  • Use problem-solving techniques to improve operational performance for parts, processes, and equipment.
  • Develop control plans and inspection methods to ensure process reliability.
  • Support the production department in resolving issues to achieve daily targets.
  • Work with suppliers using drawings and standards to ensure compliance and timely resolution of non-conformances.
  • Evaluate operational systems and recommend improvements to eliminate malfunctions.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of QA support experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience in new product introduction and quality assurance.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • IT skills including MS Office and SAP.
  • Project management skills.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • ISO9001 Audit Training preferred.
