Job description

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development process for a broad range of our clients. You will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics to ensure our software products meet the highest standards.

About the Role:

Please note that whilst this position is open to remote working, we are only accepting applications from candidates who are currently residing in the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and execute functional test cases based on business scenarios, collaborating with team members.
  2. Design and execute non-functional test cases in instructed environments.
  3. Select and utilise appropriate testing tools and techniques.
  4. Coordinate and run User Acceptance Testing (UAT), collating and reproducing client feedback.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system specifications and develop testing strategies.
  6. Identify, document, and report bugs and errors.
  7. Assist in troubleshooting and support corrective actions.
  8. Promote modern testing techniques and stay updated with industry trends.
  9. Work with Agile teams to improve software development processes.
  10. Utilise testing tools and frameworks to streamline testing.
  11. Create test documentation to ensure systems meet specifications.
  12. Contribute to the QA strategy within the engineering team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as a QA engineer or in a related role.
  • Proficiency in manual testing.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and test management software (e.g., Jira, ZephyrScale).
  • Understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in automation testing with tools like Selenium.
  • Experience in performance testing with tools such as Gatling or JMeter.
  • Experience overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
