Senior QA Engineer (E-Commerce / Remote)

Remote in UK
Outside IR 35
6 Month Contract
Up to £340 per day

We're looking for a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in software quality assurance, particularly in e-commerce environments (Magento 2). This role involves testing modern web applications and APIs, automating tests, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
This is a remote position, ideal for someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough manual and automated testing of web applications, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
• Build and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
• Manage and track issues using tools such as Jira or Asana.
• Document and organize test cases using TestRail or similar tools.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure performance, usability, and security standards are met.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years in software quality assurance
• Strong experience in e-commerce projects, ideally with Magento 2
• Expertise in API testing (GraphQL, REST)
• Hands-on with test automation frameworks, especially Playwright + TypeScript
• Familiar with Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Proficient in using Jira, Asana, and TestRail
• Excellent written and spoken English communication
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Familiarity with AWS
• A mindset geared toward continuous improvement
• ISTQB or similar QA certifications
