Job summary

Vertech Group (UK) Ltd is seeking a Quality Engineer for precision manufacturing and mechanical engineering in Abingdon. You will own quality standards by inspecting complex components, programming CMMs, and ensuring ISO 9001 compliance on the shop floor.

You will work closely with production, customers and suppliers to resolve issues, drive continuous improvements, and enhance manufacturing quality across processes and outputs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
• Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings and select appropriate measuring techniques.
• Experience with CMM programming and PC-DMIS Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Inspect complex mechanical components and program CMMs to verify dimensions.
• Ensure ISO 9001 compliance on processes and products.
• Collaborate with production, customers and suppliers to resolve issues and drive improvements on the shop floor.

Quality Engineer - Precision Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering

Location: Abingdon

Salary: Circa 50K - 55K + Benefits

Quality Engineer required by fast-growing, high-tech Manufacturing Company where quality truly matters!

This is a key role where you'll take ownership of maintaining the highest manufacturing standards by inspecting complex mechanical components, programming and using CMMs, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001. You'll work closely with production, customers, and suppliers to resolve issues, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement across the shop floor

Essential:

• At least 5yrs recent experience as a Quality Engineer

Nice-to-have:

• Able to interpret complex mechanical engineering drawings and determine appropriate measuring techniques
• Good knowledge of programming CMMs
• PC-DMIS Level 2
• CMM: Hexagon S Chrome with tactile & laser heads
• ISO 9000 Auditor qualification
