Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Quality Engineer for an Abingdon-based role. The position emphasizes delivering a professional quality engineering service focused on Manufacturing Quality Control and supporting operations to uphold high standards.

The ideal candidate has minimum 5 years' experience, understands complex mechanical drawings, and can train staff in quality subjects. Salary is £50k-£55k with pension, bonus, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Quality Engineer.
• Ability to train employees in quality-related subjects.
• Ability to understand complex mechanical engineering drawings.
• Good project management skills with regular liaison between customers and suppliers.
• Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship (essential).
• Good knowledge of CMM programming with certification issued by the CMM manufacturer or agent.
• ISO 9000 Auditor qualification - desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional quality engineering service to the business, with a primary focus on Manufacturing Quality Control requirements.
• Ensure product quality, support manufacturing operations, and maintain compliance with customer and supplier standards.
• Drive continuous improvement across inspection and quality systems.
• Work closely with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to maintain high-quality standards and support operational excellence.
• Produce credible inspection reports and associated documentation.

Position: Quality Engineer Salary: 50,000 - 55,000 per annum Location: Abingdon Hours: Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30, Friday: 08:00 - 15:30
