Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Quality Engineer in Abingdon, England to deliver a professional quality engineering service with a focus on manufacturing quality control.

The role requires at least 5 years of experience, the ability to interpret complex drawings, training skills, and knowledge of CMM programming; you will support operations, liaise with customers and suppliers, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer.
• Ability to train employees in quality-related subjects.
• Ability to understand complex mechanical engineering drawings.
• Good project management skills with regular liaison between customers and suppliers.
• Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship is essential.
• Good knowledge of CMM programming with certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional quality engineering service to the business, with a primary focus on Manufacturing Quality Control requirements.
• Ensure product quality, support manufacturing operations, maintain compliance with customer and supplier standards, and drive continuous improvement across inspection and quality systems.
• Work closely with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to maintain high-quality standards and support operational excellence.
• Responsible for producing credible inspection and associated reports.

Hours:Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30,Friday: 08:00 – 15:30

Quality Engineer Position Overview

• Discretionary bonus scheme
• Holidays: 23 days per annum + bank holidays
• Monday to Friday working pattern with early finish on Fridays
