Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc seeks a proactive Lead Quality Control Inspector for its Westhill site. You will lead a team of QC Inspectors across manufacturing, assembly and testing, ensuring product conformity and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will provide technical leadership, drive continuous improvement, and act as primary QC representative in leadership absence. Role requires security checks and on-site presence in Westhill.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Control or Manufacturing Inspection.
• Proven ability to lead QC Inspectors and coordinate activities.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and certification requirements.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Glovia.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily QC inspection activities to support production targets.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to QC Inspectors and production teams.
• Ensure compliance with inspection standards and manage quality issues.
