Job summary

IMI plc is seeking a QC Team Leader in the UK to head the Inspection Department and ensure parts and products meet customer quality requirements and company standards. You will drive in-process QC methods including MSA, SPC, and process capability studies, and support Lean improvements across QC activities.

The role requires demonstrable team leadership in manufacturing, strong mechanical inspection experience, and the ability to train inspectors and develop CMM programs.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable team leading experience in manufacturing QC.
  • Significant mechanical inspection experience with hand tools and CMM.
  • Ability to train QC inspectors and create CMM programs.
  • Strong time management and effective communication.
  • Good problem-solving and collaboration in a multifunctional team.
  • Familiarity with MSA, SPC, and process capability concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of the QC inspection team and activities.
  • Support and conduct daily inspection and other inspection tasks.
  • Perform MSA studies and process capability analyses.
  • Raise staffing concerns and recruit when needed per policy.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive implementation.
  • Coordinate team targets, deadlines and performance reviews.
  • Ensure QC staff keep NDE qualifications up to date.
  • Lead continuous QC improvements and Lean initiatives.
