Job summary

Taiko Acton is seeking a diligent Warehouse operative to join our fast-paced site in Acton. You will handle inbound deliveries, stock control and quality checks in a food manufacturing environment.

This full-time role requires working varied shift patterns, 42 hours per week, with opportunities to develop in a supportive team that values accuracy, safety and efficient warehouse processes.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in food manufacturing or warehouse operations is advantageous.
• Familiar with quality systems and food safety standards (BRC) is beneficial.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming deliveries and ensure quality and delivery documentation accuracy.
• Check inbound pallets for cleanliness, condition and compliance.
• Receive stock in NAV and WMS; generate GRNs and ensure accurate labelling for traceability.
• Monitor product discrepancies and escalate issues when required.
• Conduct routine temperature monitoring across chillers and freezers; maintain records.
• Carry out warehouse quality and hygiene inspections and environmental checks.
• Complete pest control monitoring checks and report concerns.
• Conduct start-up checks in line with food safety procedures.

Warehouse - Taiko Acton- BONSAI

Contract: Full Time

Salary: £27,000

Contracted Hours: 42

Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s to name a few. Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK.

About You

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming deliveries, particularly fresh produce, ensuring quality and quantity match specifications and delivery documentation.
• Check all inbound pallets and packaging for cleanliness, condition and compliance.
• Receive stock within NAV and WMS systems, generate GRNs and ensure all goods are correctly labelled for full traceability.
• Monitor product discrepancies, including labels, ingredients and critical stock items, escalating issues where required.
• Conduct routine temperature monitoring across warehouse chillers, freezer areas and storage locations, maintaining accurate records.
• Carry out warehouse quality and compliance inspections, including hygiene, equipment and environmental checks.
• Complete scheduled pest control monitoring checks and report concerns immediately.
• Conduct chemical, equipment and production start-up checks in line with food safety procedures.
