Job summary

Taiko Acton is seeking a Warehouse Standards Controller to oversee warehouse standards and manage the QC Administration team, ensuring workloads are prioritised and completed accurately and on time.

You will have experience in warehouse/logistics or quality environments, with a strong understanding of quality standards, processes and compliance, and you will drive improvements while maintaining audit-ready documentation and strong cross-team communication.

• Confident managing and supporting a team, prioritising workloads and ensuring administrative processes are completed accurately and on time.
• Strong communicator who can work effectively with Warehouse, Quality, Technical and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the QC Administration team, ensuring workloads are prioritised and completed accurately and on time.
• Oversee warehouse quality standards and processes, ensuring compliance with procedures, food safety and quality requirements.
• Maintain and review quality records, documentation and reports, ensuring information is accurate and audit-ready.
• Work with Warehouse, Technical, Quality and Operations teams to investigate issues, manage corrective actions and maintain high standards.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring actions are followed through and completed within timescales.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across warehouse standards and QC administration.
• Ensure the team is trained and follows SOPs and site standards.

Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s to name a few. Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK.

We are looking for an organised and proactive Warehouse Standards Controller to oversee warehouse standards and manage the QC Administration team. You will have experience working within a warehouse, logistics, food manufacturing or quality environment, with a strong understanding of quality standards, processes and compliance.

You will be confident managing and supporting a team, prioritising workloads and ensuring administrative processes are completed accurately and on time. With excellent attention to detail, you will be comfortable working with data, documentation and audit requirements, while identifying issues and driving improvements. You will also be a strong communicator who can work effectively with Warehouse, Quality, Technical and Operations teams to maintain high standards across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Support internal and external audits, ensuring actions are followed through and completed within agreed timescales.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across warehouse standards and QC administration.
• Ensure the team is appropriately trained and follows relevant SOPs, procedures and site standards.
