Job summary

Premier Foods in Carlton, Barnsley is seeking a QA-focused professional to assure site processes and that Product Quality is maintained. You will perform internal audits, support validations and investigations, and ensure HACCP compliance across daily operations.

Working pattern includes 3 on, 3 off shifts (18:00-06:00). You will lead cross-functional teams, drive improvements, and support the QA Manager to uphold site quality and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate level – HACCP.
  • Qualification in Food Science, Quality, Hygiene or relevant.
  • Food manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to short term demands.
  • Good team working skills and experience of working across multi disciplines.
  • Leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • SAP transactions/tracker completion. (Concessions, Product Holds, Date changes)
  • Production of test packs and the issuing of packs or test pieces to the site.
  • Completion of internal audits (e.g. Process Compliance & Process pack audits).
  • Carrying out daily line walks and issuing Be Food Safe observations as required.
  • Completion of process verification checks.
  • Completion of Validations (e.g. Metal Detectors, X Rays)
  • Escalating non-conformances as required.
  • Assisting with investigations or corrective action completion for non-conformances/customer complaints as required.
  • Carrying out plant training assistance as required.
  • Swabbing as required (Plant Swabs, Hand Swabs, etc).
  • Any other reasonable tasks, as requested by the QA Manager.

Salary: £36,758

Shift Pattern: 3 on, 3 off, 3 on, 5 off (18:00 - 06:00) 36.5 hours

Working: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Purpose of the Role

Responsible for assuring the site has controls of its processes and that Product Quality is maintained.
