Job summary

Dunbia in Cross Hands, Wales, is seeking a QA to ensure products meet established quality standards. The role reports to the Department Food Safety & Quality Team Leader and is part of a small QA and Food Safety monitoring team.

Shifts available with weekly pay and permanent full-time employment. Immediate start is offered, with free car parking and staff mobile offers as benefits.

Qualifications

  • Understand importance of compliance with processes and procedures and their impact on Food Safety and Quality.
  • Maintain production and quality standards and be trained in Lean Manufacturing Practice and Continuous Improvement Processes.
  • Show willingness to undertake all training required and progress within the business.
  • Possess IT literacy skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the compliance of production teams with Food Safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications related to food safety and quality.
  • Sample products on different production lines to ensure compliance.
  • Perform product seal checks on production lines.
  • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective action including GMP close out.
  • Monitor production teams’ corrective actions to ensure lasting improvements.
  • Check and sign off on product labels when required.

We are actively seeking applications from individuals keen to take up a career within one of Europe’s leading food processing companies. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team, who have a desire to produce better food naturally.

The role of a QA is to ensure that our products meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance required for distribution and the market. The QA will report directly to the Department Food Safety & Quality Team Leader and will be part of a small team responsible for Quality Assurance and Food Safety monitoring within the relevant Department.

Shifts available:

Shift A: Sunday 6am - 6pm, Monday 6am - 6.30pm, Tuesday - Thursday 3pm - 11pm

Shift B: Tuesday - Thursday 6am - 2pm, Friday 6am - 6.30pm, Saturday 6am - 6pm

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring the compliance of production teams with Food Safety procedures and regulations.

  • Maintaining production and quality standards laid down by the business, whilst ensuring that they are fully trained in Lean Manufacturing Practice and Continuous Improvement Processes.
  • Have a desire to progress within the business and demonstrate a strong willingness to undertake all training required.
  • Possess IT literacy skills.
