Job description

This Role: Quality Assurance Officer known internally as a "Quality Assurance Auditor"

Location: Hatton Garden, London, EC1N 8JS

Salary Banding: £39,783 based on a 37.5-hour working week - Hybrid based.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Officer (Social Care) to join our team and lead our comprehensive quality assurance system.

Due to our business demands, you will need a flexible & adaptable approach to your working day. This hybrid role involves managing your own daily diary and schedule.

This role requires some travel across our locations (offices, services, and estates).

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes

  1. Conduct Planned Visits:
    • Undertake planned visits across the geographical patch to assess service quality and value, providing clear and timely reports.
    • Ensure quality assurance meets contractual and regulatory requirements.
    • Travel frequently within the designated area, occasionally requiring overnight stays.
  2. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Review feedback from internal audits and self-assessment processes to assess service quality and drive improvements.
    • Support the development of Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) that meet Quality Assurance standards.
    • Deliver workshops and presentations on Quality and Compliance.
  3. Stakeholder Management:
    • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, colleagues, and managers.
    • Participate in meetings related to Quality and Compliance, such as Risk meetings and SIP Reviews.
  4. Performance and Risk Reporting:
    • Assist in developing, delivering, and reporting on performance and risk metrics.
    • Ensure compliance with quality standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory frameworks.
  5. Compliance Monitoring Systems:
    • Develop systems to record quality assurance activities, action plans, and remedial actions.
    • Identify trends and areas for improvement across tenures and contract types.
  6. Best Practice Advisory:
    • Advise on best practice methodologies to enhance service delivery.
  7. Coordination of Quality Assurance Activities:
    • Coordinate activities in line with regulatory bodies and local/national initiatives.
    • Ensure delivery of best practices in service delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading quality assurance initiatives in a customer service environment.
  • Familiarity with CQC standards and Local Authority contracts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently and stay overnight as needed.

We will conduct an enhanced background check via the Disclosure and Barring Service, renewed every three years.
