Job summary

Alpine Formula One Team is offering a Quality Assurance Engineer Student Placement in Enstone for a 1-year duration starting July 2027. You will join a fast-paced, high-performance environment, supporting QA activities across factory and trackside operations, focusing on non-conformances, investigations and data-driven improvements.

You will work with experienced engineers to develop quality controls, SOPs and reports, gaining exposure to quality systems and racing-grade engineering practices

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering
• Penultimate year of university and seeking industry placement
• Excellent attention to detail and methodical problem solving
• Strong analytical skills to interpret technical data and identify trends
• Confident communicator able to present findings across departments
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available
• Available for onsite assessment centre in September

Responsibilities

• Assist in identification and control of non-conforming products
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
• Contribute to creation, review and revision of SOPs
• Compile and present quality reports on activities

The Role

During the placement, you’ll support the Quality Assurance Engineering team in managing non-conformances and conducting investigations into faults raised both at the factory and trackside. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and technicians, contributing to quality control procedures, data analysis, and problem-solving initiatives that help drive the Team forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the identification and control of all non-conforming products
• Support root cause analysis and contribute to the implementation of corrective and preventative actions
• Participate in the creation, review and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Compile and present reports to communicate the outcomes of quality activities
• Engage in departmental projects to enhance operation performance and actively support continuous improvement initiatives

Who We’re Looking For

• Currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or Motorsport Engineering and looking for an industry placement during your penultimate year of university
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical information and identify trends from data
• An understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, or mechanical systems
• Confident communicator with the ability to present findings clearly and work effectively with people across multiple departments
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to question processes and suggest improvements
• You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
• Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September
