Degree-level qualification

Job description

Are you educated to degree level and looking for an opportunity to develop your career in quality, compliance and audit management?

We're recruiting for an established international manufacturing business seeking a

Quality Assurance Coordinator to support its Quality Manager and help maintain consistent quality standards across its UK and overseas operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a scientific or technical degree, strong organisational skills and an eye for detail to develop their experience within a global manufacturing environment.

Whether you already have experience in quality assurance or are looking to build on your degree and enter the field, the business is keen to speak to motivated, methodical candidates who enjoy working with documentation, processes and compliance.

The role

You'll play an important part in ensuring quality records, audit documentation and supporting processes are maintained accurately and are ready when required.

Working closely with the Quality Manager, laboratory team, warehouse and shop-floor colleagues, you'll help ensure that information is available, procedures are followed and quality standards remain consistent across the business.

The business operates across the UK, Belgium, Turkey and South Africa, with similar warehouse, packing and product processes across its sites. You'll therefore have exposure to international quality processes and the opportunity to understand how audit requirements are managed across different locations.

Key responsibilities

Preparing and organising documentation ahead of internal and external audits.

Supporting audit requirements across the UK warehouse and international sites.

Managing quality-related enquiries through a shared inbox, including supplier approval documentation, metal detection, glass control and other quality procedures.

Liaising with sales, warehouse, laboratory and operational teams to obtain information and maintain accurate records.

Ensuring certificates, process documents and supporting evidence are correctly maintained and readily accessible.

Supporting supplier approval processes and quality requirements relating to contract manufacturers producing branded products.

Helping maintain consistent quality procedures and documentation across multiple sites.

Working with the Quality Manager to keep processes organised, identify gaps and support continuous improvement.

About you

To be considered, you'll need:

A degree-level qualification is essential, ideally in a scientific or technical subject such as Biology, Animal Science, Animal Nutrition, Food Science, Chemistry or a related discipline.

Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

The ability to manage documentation accurately and keep track of outstanding information.

Good communication skills and confidence liaising with different teams.

A methodical approach to following procedures and maintaining records.

The ability to manage competing priorities and work proactively.

Previous experience in quality assurance, auditing, compliance, laboratory work or a regulated manufacturing environment would be beneficial, but the business is open to candidates with transferable experience and the right qualifications.

You'll also need to be comfortable with occasional international travel to support the wider operation when required. This is not a regular part of every working week, but flexibility is essential.

If you're degree-qualified, organised and looking for an opportunity to develop within quality assurance and compliance, we'd love to hear from you.
