Job summary

The Hamlet Charity is seeking a Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager to lead quality assurance, compliance and staff development across the organisation. You will work with the CEO and senior managers to ensure services meet legal and regulatory standards, driving continuous improvement.

This role combines policy oversight, auditing, training, and budgeted operations. A flexible, collaborative leader with safeguarding expertise will help us deliver safe, high-quality care and support to Hamlet

Qualifications

• A relevant Level 3 or above qualification in Health and Social Care, Quality Assurance, Management or another relevant field.
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above.
• Experience managing and leading a team in a similar role.
• An understanding of safeguarding, person-centred approaches and quality standards.
• The ability to keep up to date with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Excellent organisational, communication and report-writing skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Confidence working independently, managing competing priorities and supporting colleagues to achieve compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee review, development and updating of organisational policies and procedures.
• Support compliance with regulations including CQC, Ofsted and GDPR.
• Conduct regular internal audits and support managers to implement action plans.
• Prepare quality assurance reports highlighting findings, risks and recommendations.
• Raise safeguarding concerns and risks with the Senior Leadership Team.
• Promote a safe and supportive working environment across all sites.
• Provide leadership and development to QA Coordinator and Training & Staff Development Coordinator.
• Oversee staff training and ensure appropriate training and competency assessments are in place.
• Manage the Training Department and training budget.
