Job summary

Animal and Plant Health Agency is seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor and Advisor to support accreditations, certifications and regulatory compliance across plant health, bee health, and animal health operations. You will promote a consistent quality framework under ISO 17025, 17020, 9001 and GxP, plan and deliver audits, review findings and drive continuous improvement through a digital QA system.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge and experience of quality standards and internal quality auditing.
• Trained internal auditor or willing to undertake specialist training as an internal auditor.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Highly organised and able to work independently with good judgement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver quality assurance audits and review non-conformances and documentation.
• Assist in management of external audits and deliver training/briefings/staff forums.
• Monitor UKAS assessment actions and report to the portal.
• Monitor quarterly QA returns for governance meetings and reporting.
• Identify risks and opportunities to support a consistent quality framework.
• Advise on accreditation scope extensions and quality system improvements.
• Review Agency documentation and produce quality-related documentation.
• Engage in management reviews and present to senior management.
• Provide training and guidance on QA matters to staff.
• Promote use of the electronic quality management system across work areas.
