Job summary

Animal and Plant Health Agency is seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor and Advisor to support accreditations, certifications and regulatory compliance across plant health, bee health and animal health areas.

The role focuses on ISO 17025, ISO 17020, ISO 9001 and GxP, plans and delivers QA audits, reviews non-conformances and ensures effective documentation and continuous improvement across the Directorate.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge and experience of quality standards and internal quality auditing.
• Trained internal auditor or willing to undertake specialist training as an internal auditor.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail, able to identify issues and present clear reports.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver quality assurance audits and review non-conformances and documentation.
• Assist in external audits and deliver training, briefings and staff forums to share best practice.
• Monitor QA checks, internal audits and non-conforming work for governance reporting.
• Identify risks and opportunities to support a consistent quality framework.
• Provide advice for accreditation scope extensions and quality system improvements.
• Review Agency documentation and produce quality-related documentation.
• Engage in management reviews and present annual submissions to senior management.
• Offer training and guidance to staff on quality assurance matters.
• Promote the use of the Agency’s eQMS for visibility of audit findings and actions.
