Job summary

Animal and Plant Health Agency is seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor and Advisor to support accreditations and regulatory compliance across plant, bee, and animal health areas. You will lead internal and external audits, review non-conformances, and promote a robust quality management system across the agency.

You will engage with business leads, advise on accreditation scope extensions, and help maintain ISO 17025/17020/9001 standards and GxP practices. Travel to various locations is required.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge and experience of quality standards and internal quality auditing.
• Trained internal auditor or willing to undertake specialist training.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and report writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver quality assurance audits and review non-conformances.
• Assist in managing external audits and staff training/briefings.
• Monitor quality checks and prepare quarterly governance reports.
• Identify risks and advise on actions to support a consistent quality framework.
• Provide advisory support for accreditation scope extensions and quality system improvements.
• Review Agency documentation and produce quality-related documentation.
• Engage in management reviews and present findings to senior management.
• Provide training and guidance on quality assurance matters to staff.
• Promote use of the electronic quality management system across the agency.
