About the Role

VuePoint Solutions Ltd are looking for a methodical, and results-driven Junior Test Analyst to identify and apply test procedures to ensure product quality. As a test analyst, you will be required to assess the functionality and feasibility of our market-leading software to ensure that any defects are eradicated ensuring our customers of a first-class experience when using our products.

To be successful in this role you should have a passion for detecting and solving problems and an eagle-eye for detail along with the ability to see the overall picture. An excellent junior test analyst has knowledge of software development, superb analytical skills, and an above-average ability to foresee technical problems.

This role is officed based at our headquarters in Andover, Hampshire.You must currently live within 45 minutes of the office.

Your Responsibilities:

• Identifying products to be assessed in the software review process.
• Defining the appropriate test to be carried out including the test data to be used.
• Managing the test data by documenting the results of each test cycle to identify defects.
• Liaising with the software development team.
• Running diagnostic and system testing and presenting the information to the relevant stakeholders.
• Interacting with and coordinating user acceptance testers and ensuring that effective communication takes place.
• Improving knowledge of business applications and user needs and expectations.
• Understanding and implementing industry standards and protocols.

Your Qualifications and Skills:

Ideally, the right candidate would have the following:

• ISTQB Foundation Certificate qualification or equivalent.
• Some experience in a quality assurance role.
• A proven record of experience working with computer software.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in test techniques and programming.
• Strong planning and organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Project management skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Efficient planning skills and an ability to adhere to deadlines.

Other information

This is a permanent, office-based role at our headquarters in Andover (Crescent House, Andover, SP10 3SF). We expect employees to live within 45 minutes commute of the office.

Our standard office hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm but there is some flexibility around this, such as 8am-4pm, and 9.30am to 5.30pm would be acceptable.

The starting date for this role is: As soon as possible

The employee will report directly to the QA & Support Manager.

All new employees are subject to a 6-month probationary period.

• An initial telephone interview lasting no more than 30 minutes to establish suitability
• Face to Face interview at our office in Andover (allow 2 hours)
• Starting with an intelligence test.
