An exciting opportunity has arisen within the QA section for a professional to work alongside our industry-leading scientists at our laboratories in Fordham, Cambridgeshire.

Established over 180 years ago, LGC is recognized as a global leader in doping control, drug surveillance, and supply chain assurance.

Taking a leading role and working collaboratively with our team of scientists, the successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day management and evolution of QA policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with international regulatory and legal requirements. LGC’s laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025.

In addition, the successful applicant may also have responsibility for a range of environmental, health, and safety initiatives.

Job Purpose

• Assure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025
• Define local policies, procedures, and systems; ensure they are effectively communicated, implemented, monitored, and maintained.
• Provide leadership, advice, and support to foster a compliant workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and report management system audits to ensure policies and procedures meet ISO/IEC 17025 and customer requirements.
• Provide decisive leadership and practical advice to management and staff. Develop training programs and communication materials.
• Prioritize critical projects effectively, collaborating with scientists, support staff, team leaders, and other groups to manage change. The laboratory is committed to continuous improvement while maintaining compliance.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited or GxP regulated environment.
• Background in Chemistry or a related Natural Science.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to train others.
