Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking a Room Leader for a welcoming nursery in Bath. You will lead a team, plan play-based EYFS activities, monitor development, and foster strong parent relationships. This role involves safeguarding duties and creating an inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate holds Level 3 Early Years or higher, has nursery or early years leadership experience, and demonstrates excellent communication and a nurturing approach to help children thrive.

We're working with a welcoming and highly regarded nursery in Bath that's looking for a passionate Room Leader to join their team as soon as possible.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Room Leader, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of your room, ensuring every child receives the highest standard of care and education.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting a dedicated team within your nursery room
• Planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework
• Monitoring children’s development and supporting their individual learning journeys
• Building positive relationships with parents and carers through regular communication
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing
• Creating an organised, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can flourish

You’ll help create a positive culture within the nursery, supporting both children and staff to thrive.

What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:

• A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
• Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
• Leadership experience or the confidence to step into a leadership role
• A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, organised, and nurturing approach
• A genuine passion for supporting young children's growth and development

What We Need to Clear You

To get you registered and ready for work, we’ll need:

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• A CV covering the last 10 years of employment and/or education, with any gaps explained
• References covering the last two years, including recent early years experience
• An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for three months or more within the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
