Job summary

The Learning Experience UK is seeking a friendly Lunchtime Assistant to join our East Finchley Nursery, delivering care from roughly 10:00 to 15:00 and supporting children's development. You will work with a responsive team to ensure safe, engaging lunchtime activities and smooth daily routines.

Ideal candidates will have a Level 2 or higher qualification in Early Years and experience in nursery settings, with a commitment to safeguarding and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in early years education settings.
• Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years.
• DBS check completed before offer.

Responsibilities

• Cover lunchtime hours from approximately 10am to 3pm and provide care for children.
• Deliver high-quality care that supports each child's development and individual needs.
• Foster a safe and stimulating environment in line with health and safety policies.
• Support local nurseries with lunchtime coverage and activities.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and British Values within Core Advantage/LEAP/EYFS frameworks.

Your Duties:

• In this pivotal role, you'll cover the hours between approximately 10am and 3pm
• Your role involves delivering exceptional care that supports each child's development and individual needs.
• With a flexible approach, you'll fulfill lunchtime responsibilities and provide vital support to local nurseries.
• By creating enriching environments filled with engaging activities, you'll foster indoor and outdoor growth.

What we ideally require from you:

• Experience in early years education settings with 'Good or Outstanding' inspection outcomes.
• Required - Level 2 or Above Qualification in Early Years
• Successful collaboration within nursery teams and effective communication.
• Record of ongoing training and professional qualifications.
• Proficiency in hygiene standards, room preparation, and decision-making.
• Experience in food preparation and relevant food management training.
• Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding policies.
• Motivated and deadline-driven, particularly in children's record-keeping and assessment
