Job summary

Remedy Education in Epping is seeking an experienced SEN English Teacher to join an SEN school. This role focuses on delivering tailored English instruction to pupils with diverse needs and complex SEMH considerations, within a supportive team.

You will teach students aged 11–18, adapt lessons for a wide range of abilities, and collaborate with SEN staff and therapists to monitor progress and behaviour. Immediate interviews offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience in SEN education (Secondary preferred).
• Strong classroom management and patience are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.

Job Title: SEN English Teacher

Location: Epping

Job Type: Full-time (5 days a week)

Working Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30pm

Start Date: After October Half Term

Role Overview:

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional and complex needs. You will help them learn, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential. This is a rewarding role in which you will gain a lot of hands on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.

• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress

• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

Candidates Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• PGCE or Equivalent training
