Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a SEN English Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in Epping on a full-time basis. The role focuses on delivering tailored English lessons to pupils aged 11-18 with SEN/SEMH needs, creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

The ideal candidate holds QTS with PGCE or equivalent training, has SEN experience, and demonstrates strong classroom management. Immediate interviews, long-term potential to become permanent, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• PGCE or equivalent teacher training.
• Experience in SEN education, secondary preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach pupils aged 11-18.
• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
• Create a safe, structured learning environment.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress.
• Work closely with SEN support staff, therapists and wider school teams.
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations.
• Support positive behavior management across the classroom.

Job Title: SEN English Teacher

Location: Epping

Job Type: Full-time (5 days a week)

Working Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30pm

Start Date: After October Half Term

Role Overview:

I am looking for an experienced English Teacher who has extensive SEN and SEMH experience to join an intimate team of teachers within an SEN school in Epping.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with additional and complex needs. You will help them learn, build confidence and achieve their fullest potential. This is a rewarding role in which you will gain a lot of hands on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Adapt curriculum content to meet a wide range of additional needs and abilities.
