Job summary

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a qualified Chef to join the Rye Hospital Catering Team, with duties at Rye Memorial Hospital and other ESHT sites as required. The role requires independence and a commitment to high standards in patient and staff catering.

You will prepare, cook and serve meals, accommodate dietary needs, manage stock, and liaise with ward staff and delivery teams while maintaining exceptional hygiene standards across all kitchen areas.

• Managing stock by placing orders for provisions and cleaning chemicals with approved suppliers.

• Order provisions and cleaning chemicals from Trust-authorised suppliers.
• Liaise with ward staff, patients, and delivery teams as necessary.
• Maintain exceptional hygiene standards within all kitchen areas.
