RecruitAbility Ltd is seeking a fully qualified accountant to join its small, client-focused practice in Stansted. The role is permanent, part-time, and hybrid, with approximately 21 hours per week and a competitive FTE salary of £55,000–£65,000.

You will support business owners by preparing accounts, managing cash flow, and advising on financial decisions. The successful candidate will have ACA/ACCA qualifications, about two years' experience, and be comfortable working independently, with

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with practice experience preferred.
• Two years of relevant experience.

RecruitAbility is looking for a fully qualified accountant to join a small, close-knit accountancy practice.

This friendly, professional team takes a proactive approach to supporting its clients. Alongside preparing accounts, you'll help business owners understand their financial position, manage cash flow and make informed decisions.

With flexible part-time hours and predominantly home-based working, this opportunity could suit someone returning to work or an experienced accountant looking for a better balance around other commitments. School-friendly hours will be considered.

The role will initially be approximately 21 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase your hours as the business grows.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and reviewing accounts and financial reports.
• Producing management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Building client relationships and attending meetings to discuss financial performance and future plans.
• Explaining financial information clearly and offering practical support to business owners.
• Supporting clients with accounting queries and helping improve their financial processes.
• Using Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, working closely with colleagues to provide a responsive service.

What we're looking for

• A fully qualified accountant, ideally ACA or ACCA.
• Two years' relevant experience, with practice experience preferred.
• Confidence working independently, managing priorities and taking responsibility for your work.
• Strong communication skills and a personable approach to client relationships.
• Good attention to detail and an interest in helping businesses develop.
• Experience with accounting software; familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage would be helpful.
• A driving licence and access to a car, required for the office location and client visits.
