Job summary

Dickson O'Brien is recruiting an Accounts Senior to join a growing practice. The role offers hybrid working, with a starting salary from £30,000 pro rata for part-time, and flexibility across full or part-time hours.

You will handle bookkeeping, VAT, statutory accounts and tax computations for a varied client base while benefiting from CPD and membership support. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in practice, is AAT qualified or experienced, and demonstrates strong accounts and tax

• AAT qualified (or qualified by experience).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within practice.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and VAT return preparation for a diverse client portfolio.
• Prepare financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Compute corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns.
• Support the wider team with ad-hoc accounting and advisory work.
• Assist with payroll when required.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a growing and dynamic accountancy practice seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join their expanding team. This is a varied and rewarding role, offering exposure to a wide range of clients and services, along with excellent benefits and flexibility.

The Role

• Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns for a diverse client portfolio
• Preparation of financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
• Corporation tax computations
• Self-assessment tax returns
• Supporting the wider team with ad-hoc accounting and advisory work
• Assisting with payroll where required

The Ideal Candidate

• AAT qualified (or qualified by experience)

Working Hours
