Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking QTS tutors to support students across KS1–KS4 in Oxfordshire, delivering high-quality 1:1 tuition in core subjects and GCSE English, Maths and Science, with SEN experience.

Candidates should hold QTS, be patient, reliable and engaging, and able to adapt lessons to suit individual needs while building a calm, supportive learning environment for vulnerable learners.

Pay is £25–£30 per hour, with regular and rewarding 1:1 work.

Job description

We are particularly looking for QTS tutors with experience in:

• Primary education - supporting children across KS1 and KS2 with core subjects
• GCSE Core Subjects - particularly English, Maths and Science, supporting students working towards their GCSEs
• SEN - working with children and young people with a range of additional needs and helping them access education in a way that works for them

Many of the students we support have struggled within mainstream education and may have additional learning needs or barriers to education. Tutors will therefore need to be able to build positive relationships, create a calm and supportive learning environment, and adapt their teaching to suit each individual student.

We are looking for tutors who:

• Hold QTS

• Are confident delivering 1:1 tuition
• Can adapt lessons to suit individual needs and abilities
• Are patient, reliable and engaging
• Are passionate about helping students who have struggled in mainstream education
