Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a QTS-qualified Primary Tutor to support children across the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area with personalised 1:1 tuition. You will work with primary learners who may require alternative provision or extra help to access learning, including those with SEND or additional needs.

Qualifications

• QTS qualification with primary focus.
• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting.
• Experience teaching or supporting primary-aged children.
• Ability to deliver engaging, personalised lessons for diverse needs.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a QTS-qualified Primary Tutor to support children across the BCP area through tailored 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide personalised educational support to primary-aged learners who require alternative provision or additional help to access learning. Many of the children we support have experienced barriers to education and benefit from a patient, nurturing, and engaging tutor who can help rebuild confidence and encourage progress.

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting
• Experience teaching or supporting primary-aged children
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Ability to deliver engaging, personalised lessons
• Experience supporting children with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, adaptable, and child-centred approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel within the local area
