Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking QTS tutors to provide high-quality, one-to-one tuition across primary and GCSE core subjects in Surrey and surrounding areas. You will support students with SEN and vulnerable learners by building strong relationships and delivering tailored lessons.

Ideal candidates hold QTS, have experience with SEN, and are patient and reliable. This role offers regular 1:1 tutoring opportunities with flexible hours and competitive pay of £25-£30 per hour.

Job description

We are particularly looking for QTS tutors with experience in:

• Primary education - supporting children across KS1 and KS2 with core subjects
• GCSE Core Subjects - particularly English, Maths and Science, supporting students working towards their GCSEs
• SEN - working with children and young people with a range of additional needs and helping them access education in a way that works for them

Many of these students have experienced difficulties with mainstream education, so the ability to build strong relationships, provide a calm and supportive learning environment, and adapt your teaching to the individual student is essential.

We are looking for tutors who:

• Hold QTS
• Have experience working with vulnerable children and/or students with SEN
• Are confident delivering 1:1 tuition
• Can adapt lessons to suit individual needs and abilities
• Are patient, reliable and engaging
• Are passionate about helping students who have struggled in mainstream education

Pay: 25- 30 per hour
