Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking QTS tutors to deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition across KS1/KS2 and GCSE core subjects in Reading and Berkshire. You will support students with SEN and barriers to education, building trusting relationships and creating calm, engaging learning environments.

The role emphasizes adapting lessons to individual needs with patience and reliability. Ideal candidates hold QTS, have experience with vulnerable children or SEN, and are confident delivering 1:1 tuition while

Job description

We are particularly looking for QTS tutors with experience in:

• Primary education - supporting children across KS1 and KS2 with core subjects
• GCSE Core Subjects - particularly English, Maths and Science, supporting students working towards their GCSEs
• SEN - working with children and young people with a range of additional needs and helping them access education in a way that works for them

Many of the students we support have struggled within mainstream education and may have additional learning needs or barriers to education. Tutors will therefore need to be able to build positive relationships, create a calm and supportive learning environment, and adapt their teaching to suit each individual student.

We are looking for tutors who:

• Hold QTS
• Have experience working with vulnerable children and/or students with SEN
• Are confident delivering 1:1 tuition
• Can adapt lessons to suit individual needs and abilities
• Are patient, reliable and engaging
• Are passionate about helping students who have struggled in mainstream education

Pay: 25- 30 per hour
