Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking QTS-qualified tutors to provide flexible 1:1 tuition across West Sussex. You will support children and young people in and around Crawley, Worthing, Chichester and nearby areas with personalised lessons and targeted learning plans.

Start dates are in September with flexible hours and long-term placements available. You will work closely with Local Authorities to deliver engaging, evidence-based teaching for learners with diverse needs including SEND and EHCPs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting.
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles is desirable.
• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised lessons.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver preferred; local West Sussex travel is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide flexible 1:1 tuition to children and young people.
• Deliver personalised lessons and learning plans.
• Support students with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs as needed.
• Collaborate with Local Authorities to support learners.
• Build strong relationships and communicate progress with learners and guardians.
