Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking QTS-qualified Teachers and experienced Tutors to support children and young people across the BCP area through personalised 1:1 tuition. Working for Local Authorities, you will provide tailored educational support to learners requiring alternative provision, helping them engage with learning and build confidence.

Roles span primary to specialist subjects with flexible hours; September start and work across the BCP area are available, with pay rates of 25–30 per hour.

Qualifications

• QTS preferred, although experienced tutors are encouraged to apply
• At least 6 months' experience in an educational setting
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 tuition to learners across the BCP area
• Support learners with diverse needs including SEND/EHCPs
• Deliver engaging, personalised sessions and track learner progress

Flexible Tutoring Opportunities Available Across the BCP Area

We're looking for QTS-qualified Teachers and experienced Tutors to support children and young people across the BCP area through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored educational support to learners who require alternative provision. Students may be of varying ages and abilities, with many benefiting from additional support to build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve positive outcomes.

Requirements

• QTS preferred, although experienced tutors are encouraged to apply


• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles


• Strong subject knowledge in your area of expertise


• Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions


• Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable


• Strong communication and relationship-building skills


• Patient, adaptable, and reliable approach


• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one


• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across the BCP area
