Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Director for the QIS Technology team to lead front‑office trading and structuring platforms. You will guide hands‑on engineers, drive technical excellence, and align solutions with business objectives in a fast-paced markets environment.

You will collaborate with Sales, Trading and Structuring to translate requirements into scalable, production‑grade platforms, while managing timelines, budget and risk across multiple critical projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leader with extensive full stack experience.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as React and Angular, plus Java and Python.
• Experience in Markets domain, preferably Equity Derivatives, and understanding of Trade Lifecycle and Risk Management.
• Experience handling large market data.

Responsibilities

• Lead QIS Technology team to design and deliver front-office trading and structuring platforms.
• Collaborate with Front Office Sales, Trading and Structuring to understand requirements and provide fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Oversee delivery timelines, budget management, risk controls and team allocation to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Mentor and coach engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
