Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Lead QHSE for the Power and Grid Major Projects portfolio. You will drive the QHSE strategy, ensure ongoing compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality legislation, and embed a proactive QHSE culture across projects.

You will advise senior leaders, lead improvements, manage audits, and mentor QHSE teams while ensuring alignment with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. A UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Safety & Environmental Management or related field.
• CMIOSH or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience leading QHSE on major construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead QHSE strategy across Power & Grid major projects.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality laws.
• Maintain and improve QHSE systems and processes.
• Deliver QHSE training, including subcontractors.
• Influence senior leadership to meet KPIs.
• Lead incident investigations and liaise with authorities.
