Job summary

Mitie is seeking a proactive QHSE professional to provide expert advice and support to on-site teams, ensuring QHSE responsibilities are carried out to high standards.

You will ensure site audit readiness for external, internal, and client audits, and lead on risk assessments, method statements, and contractor management. The role requires driving on-site activities across Northern Ireland and promoting a culture of health, safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Relevant third level qualification in Health & Safety or Environment.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Enthusiastic and strive for excellence.
• Take initiative and seek improvements.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent advice and support to onsite teams to enable QHSE responsibilities.
• Ensure sites are audit ready for external/internal and client audits.
• Complete accident reports and investigations.
• Create, review and maintain risk assessments, method statements, and site packs.
• Manage contractors on site including inductions and permits to work.
• Deliver QHSE training modules and briefing material.
• Review service provision to ensure compliance with client QHSE standards.
• Align sector-specific QHSE plans with business needs and share best practices.
• Support QHSE communications to onsite teams to drive compliance.
• Complete onsite QHSE LiveSafe site reviews and internal audits.
• Collaborate within the QHSE team to deliver standards across portfolios.
• Promote a positive Health & Safety and Sustainability culture.
