Job summary

SeAH Wind in Middlesbrough is seeking a QC Inspector to support the day-to-day inspection, measurement and documentation of steel plates used in monopile production. You will ensure accurate material traceability and work closely with the Material Controller to verify plate alignments and tolerances.

The role requires a time-served background in plating or welding fabrication, knowledge of inspection and test plans, and good computer skills.

Qualifications

• Time Served Plater, Welder or Fabricator with a professional qualification (C&G or NVQ).
• Good understanding of inspection and test plans.
• Strong computer skills.
• MEWP certification is a plus.
• Meticulous with records and reports; good communicator; team player.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming steel and maintain material traceability records for each monopile.
• Maintain records of plate alignments, can rolling, calibration, and flange fit-up tolerances.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated per SeAH Wind procedures.
• Monitor hold points during welding and coordinate with Quality Inspector to meet inspection and test plan checkpoints.
• Assist with non-conformance investigations and ensure all steel is traceable.
