Pupil Support Assistant

Location: Lichfield

Duration: Full time, ongoing

Salary: £75 – £85 per day

The School/Role:

We are currently looking for an experienced pupil support assistant who can take on a full-time ongoing job role in a fantastic SEN school in Lichfield. The school strives to provide the best quality teaching and learning with an inclusive and personalized curriculum. They are passionate about preparing students for life and supporting them to achieve their personal goals. This is a full-time post and will run until the end of the academic year. This leading SEN school encourages pupils to lead fulfilling lives and be as independent as possible through developing their strengths and working on creating a ‘can do’ attitude to life and learning.

The candidate for this pupil support assistant role will be experienced supporting SEN children alongside children with a range of different academic attainment levels. This will require patience, commitment, and the ability to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment.

The team within the school is very supportive and will help you along the way. The staff in the school aim to give the best possible educational experience for their students. This job opportunity is very fulfilling for people who have teaching assistant experience.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
• PECS and Makaton training/experience
• ASD, SLD, Complex needs – Non-verbal needs experience
• Level 1 safeguarding certificate
• Recent school-based references
• Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
• Full DBS – on the update service
