Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a proactive Service Engineer for Inverness and on-site deployments to service diesel-powered equipment including pumps and generators. You will work across depot and field environments, ensuring reliability and safety in every operation.

The role requires mechanical expertise, relevant qualifications, and a valid UK driving licence. It offers a supportive team, a competitive base salary, and a structured on-call rota with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

Mechanical experience with plant equipment, pumps, generators and diesel engines.
Full UK Driving licence or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Servicing, maintaining, and repairing pumps, generators, and diesel-powered equipment in depot and field-based environments.
Preparing and inspecting equipment at the depot to ensure it is fully operational before deployment.
Carrying out major overhauls and refurbishments of end-of-life equipment.
Diagnosing faults and performing repairs to minimise downtime.
Collaborating with service team, hire controller, and foreman to ensure smooth operations.
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
Maintaining a clean and organised working environment; ensuring equipment meets safety standards.
Travelling to customer sites and participating in an on-call rota (1 week in 4).
