Job description

The post holder will coordinate the operational activities involved in the provision and development of transport services and infrastructure, information, and the customer proposition across our bus network.

Responsibilities include:

1. Coordination and administration of day-to-day bus contracts and operations, including Chester Park and Ride and our iTravel on Demand Responsive Transport service.
2. Preparation of local bus tenders to ensure a cost-effective and cohesive network across the borough that meets residents' needs.
3. Gathering insights from various sources to enhance network performance and the future design of local bus services in the borough.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Strategic Transport and Infrastructure team.

This role will shape the future of transport across our borough, supporting the delivery of our ambitious Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), local transport plans, and climate and poverty initiatives. You will collaborate with stakeholders and operators to develop sustainable travel networks that address social deprivation, enhance connectivity to employment and education, and unlock opportunities for all.

You will gain broad experience in policy development, local bus, and rail projects, contributing to shaping our transport future.
