Job summary

Heights Libraries seeks a Public Services Director to lead our four-branch system, aligning public services with the library’s strategic priorities and community needs. You will work with the Executive Director and senior leaders to drive customer-focused service standards and staff development.

You will oversee budgets, partnerships, community engagement, and organizational change to maximize impact across the Heights Libraries system.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive leadership in a public library or equivalent.
• Experience overseeing multiple locations or departments in a complex environment.
• Track record of leading organizational change and strategic initiatives.
• Experience with budget development and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for public services across all library locations.
• Directly supervise branch managers and other leaders.
• Develop, coach, and evaluate staff to foster collaboration and service excellence.
• Oversee policy development and systemwide priorities with the leadership team.
• Represent the library to community partners and stakeholders.
