Job summary

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about Libraries, organised, has experience of administrative processes and procedures, is an excellent team player, who is eager to learn, support others and who thrives working in a fast-paced customer focused environment in the County’s 2nd busiest library.

The successful candidate will have public Library service experience, supervisory experience, be willing to accept direction/delegation, and provide an effective service to all library customers

Qualifications

• Efficient organisation of staff, stock and premises to serve customers

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team in a customer-focused environment
• Create a friendly and welcoming environment for a diverse range of customers
• Multitask effectively, perform under pressure and be able to work alone when required
• Promote library services and opportunities to the public
• Confident use of IT and library systems (training provided)
• Be flexible to cover other roles within Derbyshire libraries when needed
