Job summary

SAS in Marlow, UK, is seeking a Senior Presales System Engineer for the Public-UK sector. This hybrid role combines technical leadership with strategic client engagement to translate complex needs into value through SAS software and cloud solutions.

You will work with government and defence customers, lead technical engagements, deliver demonstrations and POCs, and collaborate with the account team to win opportunities while traveling to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK defence, intelligence or security contexts.
• Ability to lead technical strategy and engage across teams.
• Strong communication and storytelling in meetings.

Responsibilities

• Act as the customer advisory lead across defence, intelligence and policing territory.
• Provide guidance on how public sector organisations create value with data and analytics.
• Serve as primary technical contact translating client needs into SAS solutions.
• Define and execute the technical strategy aligned with the account team.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams in pursuit of opportunities and pre-sales activities.
• Handle complex customer situations using SAS knowledge to deliver win-win outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality customer experiences and demonstrate SAS value via presentations, demos, POCs.
• Influence stakeholders using domain knowledge and adapt material for audiences.
