Job summary

SAS is recruiting a Senior Solutions Engineer for the UK Defence & Security sector, based in Marlow with hybrid working. You will combine technical credibility with industry insight to translate government and defence needs into SAS data, AI, and analytics solutions, shaping the technical strategy in close partnership with the account team.

The role involves high-stakes client engagements, pre-sales leadership, and building trusted relationships across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• UK Security Clearance is ideal (DV).
• 5+ years in a similar senior technical client advisory role within tech.
• Broad mix of technical knowledge and enterprise architecture with cloud platforms.
• Passion for AI with experience in data management, analytics or fraud detection.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites; hands-on in customer-facing situations.
• Experience in MOD, UK Policing or National Security is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on creating business value using data, AI and analytics.
• Be the primary technical contact translating client needs into SAS solutions.
• Define and execute the technical strategy in alignment with account teams.
• Provide pre-sales leadership, engaging with technical and business audiences.
• Lead multi-discipline teams in pursuit of new opportunities.
• Address complex customer situations leveraging SAS products and services.
• Demonstrate SAS value through presentations, demos and POCs.
